The Laurel and Hardy Museum tells the story of Arthur Stanley Jefferson, his journey from the small town of Ulverston to Hollywood, and how he became one half of the world’s best loved comedy duo. Follow Stan as he leaves his grandparents home in Ulverston, moves to North Shields, then on to Glasgow where he appears on the stage for the first time. Find which other famous comedian of the day Stan joined on his voyage to America, and learn how Oliver Hardy’s love of cooking brought these two funnymen together. Laurel and Hardy films are shown all day in our little 15 seat cinema and there’s a free quiz for the kids.
