Levens Hall is an impressive Elizabethan house with spectacular interiors and impressive collections of furniture, clocks and paintings. The hall has an intriguing history and fascinating links to the Duke of Wellington.
Designed in the 1690s by Monsieur Guillaume Beaumont, gardener to King James II and Colonel James Grahme, the ten acres of gardens, home to the world’s oldest topiary gardens, retain many original features. With over 100 ancient box and yew trees sculpted into abstract or geometric shapes, the garden is a remarkable place to explore.
