The award winning “Apple Pie Eating House” of Ambleside is a family run business which has had a great reputation for its quality of food and service since 1974. Having recently invested in renovating and extending our café area we now have a seating capacity of 115 over two floors, comprising a total of four rooms, each with their own individual ambiance, plus our courtyard for “al fresco” eating.

We provide a wide range of delicious baked goods made here in our own craft bakery, and take pride in the fact that many of our products are unique! Locally renowned for our range of apple pies and our bath buns in particular, nobody makes them quite like us.

Being situated in the heart of the English Lake District, we cater to a great deal of tourists as well as locals, and we have easy access and plenty of room for those with pushchairs, dogs, rucksacks and mountain bikes. Also there is a very large car park just a hundred meters away from our front door! Transport links to Ambleside are very good and this makes it not only easy for you to get to us, but also easy for you explore the area.
